Thursday Bird Photo: Common Raven

Well, I’m back from our first West Coast vacations and so I thought I would start up again with my regular Thursday Bird Photo feature. Today’s bird is a Common (or Northern) Raven (Latin: Corvus corax / en français: Grand Corbeau), one of the few bird species present almost everywhere in the the Northern Hemisphere (in most of North America, Asia, Europe and even parts of North Africa). And look at the size of that beak!

This photo was taken a few days ago (in late July) at Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver, BC, Canada.
