Just spent a warm, sunny and fabulous day with my children and parents at the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Clearly, spring was everywhere, what with thousands of Snow Geese getting ready to fly off to the Arctic, March Wrens signing everywhere and the presence of at least two dozen Tree Swallows. I will blog more about this latter!
For now, I have posted a picture of the majestic Bald Eagle, which is seen in fairly large numbers at this time of year. However, I did not actually take this photo in the sanctuary, but rather on River Road West, just off of Westham Island, where the sanctuary is situated.
