D50 Archives: Red-winged Blackbird

This week, I will feature one of the most photogenic birds of the spring, namely the Red-winged Blackbird (en français : Carouge à épaulettes | Scientific: Agelaius phoeniceus). Although we are not quite there yet, there is a bit of spring in the air here on the west coast, so I figured I should feature two of my all-time favourite photos to remind you that there is hope! The first photo features the understated, but beautiful female RWBA, followed by the spectacularly coloured male. Both shots were taken in May 2012 in Vancouver, BC’s beautiful Jericho Park.
