Common* Goldeneyes in North Vancouver


(*UPDATE: The “Common” in the title is a mistake, since these are indeed Barrow’s Goldeneyes, as stated below.)

Part of a small flock of Barrow’s Goldeneyes (on this picture, from top to bottom are a male, two females and a juvenile), taken on December 4, 2014, from Saint Roch Dock in North Vancouver, BC, Canada (close to Lonsdale Quay) with a handheld Nikon 5200 and AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED (ISO 1600, 300mm, f/5.6, 1/200). Not baited, called in or set up.
