Osprey clutching a delicacy (starred flounder)

Osprey | Balbuzard pêcheur | Pandion haliaetus: How can you get several crows and gulls, not to mention a Bald Eagle, to chase you around? Catch a starry flounder and start showing it off, that’s how!

Before taking a closer look at the photos I took, I must say that I was not entirely sure why this Osprey was causing such a commotion. I should probably also point out that in a previous post, I captured a Common Loon playing around with a member of the same fish species. I guess they must be quite the delicacy in the avian world!

Taken with a handheld Nikon D5200 and AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED (ISO 400 | 300mm | f/6.3 | 1/1600). Not baited, called in or set up.
