Eurasian Wigeon (male) | Canard siffleur | Anas penelope: On Friday, I posted a photo featuring the locally common (abundant, in fact) American Wigeon. Its Eurasian cousin is much more rare, but can be seen somewhere every winter in this region. I was lucky enough to get one decent photograph of this individual on February 6, 2016, at Jericho Park in Vancouver (British Columbia), Canada.
Taken with a handheld Nikon D5200 and AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR (ISO 1400 | 500mm | f/5.6 | 1/500, cropped). Not baited, called in or set up.
